The African Freedom Coalition was formed in 2011 at a time when the racist genocide in Sudan was in full swing, after a bloody history that took root in 1955, when the British turned over its control to the Nile River Arab elite, resulting in the deaths of 5 million black Africans. Prior genocides in other countries have taught us lessons and have kept us vigilant in our efforts to erase genocide.

The US State Department and CIA have had a close relationship with Sudan’s Intelligence (NISS) over these many years. Now, despite Sudan’s horrific terrorist activities, they are prepared to once again resume that relationship with Sudan. This is shocking in that the December revolution of 2018 —seeking Freedom, Peace and Justice —has been hijacked by Sudan’s military, the same ones who murdered and oppressed the people during Al-Bashir’s regime. We are asking Congress to protect the people of Sudan by making humane democratic choices, and to exercise its role of overseeing the Intelligence Community.
